Thursday Oct. 28th

• Work period on their Museum assignment.

Econ 30

• Still exploring the impact of corporations in society.  Today we began watching "Walmart: The High Cost of Low Price".

• Continued watching "The Patriot" from Wednesday's class.

Law 30

• Began watching the movie "Liar Liar".  The film is a media analysis of how lawyers and the legal system are often portrayed as greedy in society's eyes.

Psych 20

• Readings and questions assigned on the "Theories of Motivation" (questions 2-4) and "Biological & Social Motivation" (questions 1, 3 & 4).  Due tomorrow for homework, for in-class discussion.

Wednesday Oct. 27th

Econ 30

• Finish watching "The New Age of Wal-Mart". 

History 30

• Began watching the film "The Patriot".  With the importance of the American Revolution to Canadian history this is viewed to explore the destruction of the relationship between England/13 Colonies & the subsequent importance of the Loyalists to Canadian history.
• It is important to note that with any film there are historical inaccuracies and interpretations of figures may be incorrect.   

Law 30

• Note on "Offences Against the Person: Homicide".  Followed by a legal case analysis of R. v. Turner (S.A.) (1995), N.B.R. 92d) (N.B.Q.B.). Questions 1 & 3 due tomorrow for verbal discussion. 

Psych 20

• Continuing to explore perception through an interactive assignment using the Rorschach Test.

Tuesday Oct. 26th

• Work period on their Museum Assignment.

• Unit 1 Test (Chapters 1-4)

• Finish notes on "The Fall of New France" paying particular attention to The Articles of Capitulation, The Treaty of Paris and [most importantly] The Royal Proclamation (1763).
• Introduce art analysis assignment on the paintings "The Death of Wolfe" & "The Death of Montcalm".

Law 30

• Worksheet on the various types of Levels of Criminal Offences in the Canadian legal system.

Psych 20

• Finish note on Motivation (extrinsic vs. intrinsic) & went through Maslow's Hierarchy.

Monday Oct. 25th

• Reminder to pass in your XWord review sheet the day of the test.

• Went over notes covering covering the Fall of New France & The Articles of Capitulation.
